When Randi was a teenager, college wasn鈥檛 even on her radar 鈥� her focus was on caring for her young children. For years, she set aside her own dreams of higher education to support her family. After eight years working in Emergency Medical Services, helping those in the community when they needed it most, Randi realized she was ready for a change.

With a calling to continue caring for others, Randi chose 红领巾快报 Michigan College鈥檚 Nursing Program to begin a new chapter. The decision to make a career change was a significant and challenging step for her.

鈥淚 don鈥檛 think I could have done it alone,鈥� Randi said. 鈥満炝旖砜毂� offers a ton of resources specifically for nursing students to help with transitions like that.鈥�

Randi鈥檚 commitment didn鈥檛 just impact her life 鈥� it inspired her daughter, Roxanne, to pursue her own path in practical nursing. Moved by her mother鈥檚 determination and success, Roxanne enrolled at 红领巾快报 and is now in her final semester of the Nursing Program.

鈥淚 didn鈥檛 think that I was going to be able to go to college,鈥� said Roxanne. 鈥淏ut I know that my mom is a very intelligent and capable woman, and seeing her do that, I knew that if she could do it, I could do it too.鈥�
